Was Haiti HAARPed?

I was almost afraid to do it, because I knew it would make me upset. But with as much idiotic conspiracy-mongering in the mainstream as there is–Pat Robertson’s burblings about Haiti’s deal with the devil (maybe Aricept would help?), Rush Limbaugh’s insinuation that Obama is exploiting the catastrophe to burnish his creds with, in Limbaugh’s own words, “the both light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country” (a salutary reminder from the talk show king that light skinned blacks are no less black than their darker-skinned brethren)–I thought I should find out what’s bubbling beneath the surface. So I typed the words “Haiti” and “Conspiracy” into Google and watched to see what came up.

From the Ahrcanum blog (click here for full post):

Is it amazing that the DR had no damage, or by intention?

What was HAARP up to on January 12, 1010? The official HAARP facility is located in Gakuna, Alaska. The conspiracy theory claims that HAARP could be used as directed-energy weapon, weather control, an earthquake induction device and/or for mind control. http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/haarp/cam1.html HAARP
HAARP is an “Ionospheric Heater” which is basically an array of antennas that can send a concentrated beam of RF energy into the ionosphere. It’s located in Alaska because areas near the magnetic poles have a lot of ionospheric activity. It’s not the only facility of its kind. EISCAT in Europe is a similar facility and a similar facility, Sura Ionospheric Heating Facility, is located in Russia. via http://phoenixaquua.blogspot.com/2009/12/haarp.html
Ionospheric Heating refers to artificially heating the Ionosphere, which is the upper most part of the atmosphere. ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) waves are used to literally boil the upper atmosphere. This lifts and changes the shape of the atmospheric gas clouds and can be used (theoretically) to control the weather. http://www.nerdmodo.com/2009/07/ionospheric-heating-and-weather-control/

Ahrcanum’s tone is fairly agnostic, all things considered (he admits that earthquakes do occur naturally in the Caribbean Basin), but check out this comment from one of his readers:

Up here in edmonton, alberta, canada (home of the Edmonton Oilers, (if your a hockey fan) the clouds have been quite freakish, (Jan 12-14) and their all looking like waves going in the south east direction today like this> ))))))). I took lots of pics of the weird clouds, (If you want pics make arrangement and I’ll send them) which seem in my unprofession opinion affected by ionization or electricity. I’m 42 years old I don’t remember these kind of clouds until the last year . THEY ARE SOMTIMES VERY PROMINENT. Whether HAARP did earthquake or not I don’t know, BUT SOMETHING is going on and they are using the Ionishere as a Weapon, IF YOU CANT PROVE IT, IT MAKES A GREAT WEAPON<.. DOES IT LEAVE A TRAIL IN THE CLOUDS? Jan 13 the satalite immage of clouds over edmonton were NEE with a bit of a south swirl, But the ))))) waves in my pics look like their heading south east HMMMM Interesting. If I darw a line froM Alaska HAARP to Haiti It seems to cut though edmonton. I DONT KNOW IF HAARP WORKS LIKE THAT, IM JUST THROWIN IT OUT THERE

p.s. I want the old random fluffy clouds back please!

and this one…

Did you notice how the US media is all over Haiti, as if Haiti is now a part of the USA ? When the big eathquake happened in Italy, the US didn’t show this grand interest. Other earthquakes didn’t interst the US this much either. And now, even the US army is there, allegedly distributing water, food, end medicine. Since when is that kind of help the army’s job ?? Looks like an occupation to me ! Have you noticed that some “Haitians” wear neat, clean, fresh T-shirts with writings like “America”, “Samsung”, etc, already providing pro-US propaganda ? They may be sort of implants, maybe handed to some locals randomly, to get the propaganda machine going for international corporations. Diana Sawyer, Roberts, and Dr. Besser are there for days now, reporting non-stop, recruiting Americans into thinking that Haiti is “special” to the USA. “Special” it is indeed, as Haiti is going to be the next US colony. Remember, how a US coup ousted their president just some years ago ? The US has very special interests in that region. Economically, politically, and militarily.
HAARP is capable of initiating anything, from earthquakes to rain, to draught.
Nowadays, some countries will be “taken” by HAARP, not bombs. All a part of the New World Order conspiracy.

And here’s this, from “Pair A Normal Guys Inc,” posted on Now Public.com (click here).

While the loss of life and devestation in Haiti is unimaginable there may be a more hidden agenda behind this tragedy. Suppose this “natural disaster” been a weather weopan aimed at Cuba but came up short in it’s delivery? The possibility of this being true is not far fetched or out-of-this-world in theory. Weather manipulation and weather warfare are not new concepts and certainly could be the choice of the powers that be to devastate an enemy with a cloak of Mother Nature’s disguise to fall back on. The fact that there was a seemingly unnoticable quake in California recently or a possible test fire and add the cold snap across the Atlantic ocean from the USA to Europe and then the Haitian quake the largest ever recorded in the region seems a little suspicious to me. The secrets of our world and the secret weopans that are harboured within our world are something we need to expose, if this was infact a targeted weather weopan at Cuba the question then remains who sent it and who’s next?

I like the idea that the New World Order is so powerful that it can cause the earth to tremble, but so inept that 1) It needs to resort to science fiction weaponry and disinformation disseminated via T-shirts to secure as militarily weak a country as Haiti, and 2) That even though it hurls thunderbolts like Zeus, it has the eyesight of Mr. Magoo–it can’t distinguish one Caribbean island from another.

As Ahrcanum explained, HAARP (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program) is a military-funded scientific research project whose principle facilities are located in Gakona, Alaska (I don’t get cable, but I understand that Jesse Ventura visited the site on his TV show). According to its home page (click here), it is:

A scientific endeavor aimed at studying the properties and behavior of the ionosphere, with particular emphasis on being able to understand and use it to enhance communications and surveillance systems for both civilian and defense purposes.

The HAARP program is committed to developing a world class ionospheric research facility consisting of:

* The Ionospheric Research Instrument (IRI), a high power transmitter facility operating in the High Frequency (HF) range. The IRI will be used to temporarily excite a limited area of the ionosphere for scientific study.
* A sophisticated suite of scientific (or diagnostic) instruments that will be used to observe the physical processes that occur in the excited region.

Observation of the processes resulting from the use of the IRI in a controlled manner will allow scientists to better understand processes that occur continuously under the natural stimulation of the sun.

Scientific instruments installed at the HAARP Observatory will be useful for a variety of continuing research efforts which do not involve the use of the IRI but are strictly passive. Among these studies include ionospheric characterization using satellite beacons, telescopic observation of the fine structure in the aurora, and documentation of long-term variations in the ozone layer.

They would say that, wouldn’t they? If you’re not a sheeple and you want to dig deeper, author and lecturer Jerry E. Smith’s 1998 book WEATHER WARFARE: The Military’s Plan to Draft Mother Nature (click here for author’s web page) offers a dramatically different perspective.

Starting with Nicola Tesla’s earthquake machine of the 1890s I trace the possibility of “earthquakes on demand” from the development of a “tsunami bomb” during World War II (as revealed by documents recently declassified by the New Zealand government), through Project Faultless which caused a massive earthquake in the Nevada desert after a high yield atom bomb was intentionally detonated on a fault line, to evidences of human initiation of several major quakes and the 2004 Christmas tsunami with “scalar” or other electromagnetic waves.

Also included is an update on recent developments at HAARP. I analyze what they are willing to admit to having done with it and where the program may go in the future. The US Air Force insists that it has no interest in “controlling the weather” yet HAARP represents the expenditure of hundreds of millions of dollars and a decade of research and construction in a program whose avowed purpose is to modify the atmosphere. What, if any, is the difference between “modifying the atmosphere” and “controlling the weather”?

F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote that “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.” It’s an ability that no explorer of the outer fringes of conspiracy theory can live without. One conspiracist will tell you that anthropogenic global warming is a fraud, a propaganda ploy manufactured by Al Gore and a consortium of disingenuous scientists to undermine capitalism and bring about the New World Order. Then another will tell you that the New World Order’s scientists are already modifying the weather on a daily basis and even setting off earthquakes, not to mention streaming H1N1 across the sky in chemtrails, targeting weaker populations for extermination (and poisoning the rest of us with fake vaccines). They’ll tell you that the Apollo moon landing was faked on a sound stage in Area 51–and also that Area 51 is where UFOs are being reversed engineered into super-secret weapons and spacecraft. It can all get a little bit confusing.

  1. “weopan”. Sounds like a Chinnies spy to me, Commie! Get on ova’ he’ah, boy, n’ I’ll tell ye the truth! ROFL. Haiti is the 2nd oldest Republic after the USA in the hemisphere. Interesting history. It hasn’t been super important for a century. But maybe it was revenge on MLK week for the French massacre? Vodou majik gone horribly wrong, but Catholicism(albeit possibly unrecognizable by the Pope) is the main religion. Under the Constitution of 1804, all hatians regardless of skin color, were to be known as “black”. Maybe it was a curse of the extinct Tainos?

HAARP. I recomend Wiki search neutron bomb and emp weapons. Why don’t we use them? They suck. The effective ranges are super small. What ’bout HAARP? Remember when mircowave ovens would kill a guy with a pacemaker? How about using a cordless phone near a tv? Static anyone? They don’t anymore. Why? People began using digitized data, like banks, to communicate wirelessly. Your iPhone would not work without HAARP. Coldwar fears brought out nuke at high atmosphere would destroy communications. So would a solar flare. Big enough flare may kill everyone with a pacemaker. Not good. RFs travel in a straight line. Therefore, even if it was a “beam weapoene”, from AK it would go into space. The world is round but they are “special” in Canada. The other deal with RF weapons is that the waves scatter, or spread out, and get weaker. That’s why you have relay towers. Militarily, it would be nice to make hardened everything, even on the consumer market so an emp won’t do jack. If we did, then a guy might see serious emp weapons employed. Shut a tank down or kill a missile without risk, you bet ur ass they would. Until then, think of this, what happens to tin-foil in a microwave? Do you still want to wear that hat?

  2. Electromagnetic pulses and why “End of the World” scenarios are b.s.
Emp is the sudden and intense creation of ionized particles in the air. It takes an incredible amount of energy to turn air into a conductor but we see it with lightening. So what does that mean to us? Car battery terminals are exposed to air. Hence they would discharge all their cranking amps into the air. If it was running, the alternator would also discharge. Electron current flow creates static friction, hence, “frying terminals”. Houses: outlets always have 110 ac there. They would discharge into the air. Here’s the kicker. All ther breakers would trip, isolating the house. May have a small electrical fire. Cars. If a car wasn’t running it would have burned terminals and a dead battery. Replace the terminals. How to start? If it’s a stick you push start it. This causes the alternator to turn and create voltage, in turn, starting the car and rechargeing the battery. A portable generator uses stators, magnetics, to devlop spark to the plug. Those would start and create 110ac. Houses get power, laptop batteries get recharged. There would be ruined things but not everything. The worst place to be would be a major power plant. It would take time to clear electrocuted workers and replace the brushes in a generator. At best, things would be disrupted but it wouldn’t be the end of the world. This is why EMP weapons suck.

  3. Still worried sick? Charged air particles. Put a cellphone, laptop and car battery in a ziplock bag. Now you are ready for the end of the world.

  4. Was Haiti HAARPED? Is a great headline! We will never know!. The whole area is a seismic hotbed, yet we must question sciences ability and reasoning for applying such science– if it exists in the first place, to cause deviation intentionally or inadvertently. Thanks for linking back to our conspiracy HAARP thoughts at http://ahrcanum.wordpress.com/2010/01/14/haiti-earthquake-conspiracy-haarp-eiscat/

As for putting technology in a zip lock bag to avoid charged particles, I believe that would be useless and a needless avoidance of some great technology and social communicating. Got an x-tra cell phone? send it to Haiti.

  5. There is a United Nations Convention on the Prohibition of Military or Any Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques (see: http://www.un-documents.net/enmod.htm). Whether or not HAARP exists to change the weather, or it is just a harmless field of antennae, we should be on guard against secret weapons that threaten the environment. Our government has a lot of secret weapons and we should make it clear to the government that the world would disapprove of such weapons.

  6. In regards to conspiracy theories, some people believe one or two of them, but not the others. Some people believe one at one time, then later change their mind. So it is not that all conspiracy theorists are the same.
The phrase “conspiracy theory” got started during the Iran-Contra scandal, when it was used to try to discredit people who wanted to look into what was going on. Later, the Iran-Contra conspiracy turned out to be true.
I believe that we should investigate conspiracy theories, since it is stupid to just plug our ears and say la la la la la because a thing seems too horrible to be true.

    1. It’s true that not all conspiracy theorists believe the same contradictory things–I thought I made that clear. But it’s not true that the phrase “conspiracy theory” got started during the Iran Contra scandal. The Iran Contra scandal was a real conspiracy. Some of the players were higher ups in the military and the government (up to and including the president), but there were a limited number of them and we know who just about all of them were. There was a cover up, but it wasn’t very effectual; not everyone was punished appropriately, but the conspiracy was exposed.

The phrase “Conspiracy theory” appears in American newspapers as early as 1877. Karl Popper gave it its derogatory meaning in The Open Society (1952)– “I call it the ‘conspiracy theory of society’. It is the view that an explanation of a social phenomenon consists in the discovery of the men or groups who are interested in the occurrence of this phenomenon.” I quoted it in my book and frequently cite it in this blog.

The difference between conspiracy theory and a theory about a conspiracy is that conspiracy theory is more like a theology–a monolithic explanation of complex events that assumes both malice and intention on the part of a shadowy, all-powerful “they.” Lincoln’s assassination was a conspiracy; JFK’s very well might have been. But most NWO claims fall under the rubric of conspiracy theory. It is essential that conspiracies be investigated. Conspiracy theory is usually too vague and circular and unfalsifiable to investigate.

The researcher Ernie Lazar (whose commentary is featured on this blog) has written about the “exceptionalism argument” of conspiracy theorists. “In this scheme of things,” he writes, “we are asked to believe that the ‘CFR-New World Order’ conspiracy which they allege has been in existence for decades does not operate according to normal rules of human behavior nor does it operate in the same manner (or leave footprints) as do all other conspiracies about which we have knowledge. Hence, we are asked to believe that the methodology successfully used to detect, penetrate, and expose previous conspiracies in U.S. history is now inapplicable.” Click here to read Ernie’s invaluable essay “The Purpose of Conspiracy Theories.

  7. Regarding Masonic, NWO connections with the Haiti earthquake. It seems odd that the Freemasons created the famous Golden Triangle of International Trade that connected New Orleans, Haiti (San Domingue) and Nigeria, shipping sugar to Haiti, rum to Africa and slaves back to New Orleans.

The last two major disasters in the Western Hemisphere, happened in the nexus points of the Golden Triangle…Hurricane Katrina in 2005 in New Orleans and the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, five years later, a number sacred to Masons. Both disasters occured in the poorest parts of their respective countries displacing and killing thousands if not millions (over time) between them. The Africans the Masons used for profit and then left behind have created a problem that seems to have been dealt with by meteorology/seismology, both tools of HAARP…coincidence?

    1. There’s a lot here that I could respond to (like the idea that the Freemasons invented the slave trade) but I’ll just point out one–why would anyone, even a Freemason, ship sugar to Haiti? Isn’t that like shipping coal to Newcastle?

      1. Did I say they invented the slave trade? Hmm, don’t see that anywhere in my comments. The Masons were famous traders in the 16th and 17th century, what would you say they were trading…baseball cards? And yes, sugar was exported to Haiti to make Rum…you are quite the intellect aren’t you!

      2. To CQ Scafadi:

Sugar was exported from Haiti to make rum, and when Haiti built its own distilleries rum was exported as well… but as a major sugar producer in its own right Haiti had no need to import sugar.

There were several different trade triangles in colonial times, the most notorious with one leg between the West Indies and New England (molasses for lumber and fish), another between New England and Africa (rum distilled in New England for African slaves) and another from Africa to the West Indies (slaves for molasses, which was then carried back to New England to be distilled).

The first Masonic Lodge known to history was founded in England in 1717; the first in the New World opened in 1730 in Philadelphia (the eighteenth century). Both English and American Freemasons participated in the slave trade–but significant numbers of Freemasons were involved in the abolition movement as well.

      3. Dear ArthurGoldwag,

Thank you for the clarification. I had read somewhere, (which I cannot site) that sugar from New Orleans was exported to Haiti for processing into Molasses which was then shipped to New England for distillation into rum. I guess I must have been misinformed. Sugar was indeed the main cash crop in Saint Domingue and Haiti and much of the rest of the West Indies.

Yes, also to your point that many Freemasons were abolitionists as well. Fascinating to me, because of their role in the Dutch West Indies Company.

Thank you again for the clarification…I love intellectual discourse and you seem to have your facts straight…well done.

  8. Let me put my racist cap on…”pop”…Okay. Sugar had to be sent to Haiti because the blacks were using all their natural sugar to make rum and sit around drunk…”pop”…now the tinfoil hat…”zzz-ting!”…the Golden Triangle coincides with the Bermuda Triangle. Triangles…pyramids…all seeing eye…coincidence? I think not…”zzz-ting!”

Aquarian: Yes, I agree with the UN statement. This falls in the neighborhood as why conventions prohibit flamethrowers, beehive rounds and other artillery as a direct-fire weapon. I think “weather weapons” realisticly means salting clouds with a mixture of sulfuric acid n’ such. Forward thinking to the sci-fi stuff. The deal is collateral damage. Once you make the hurricane it is uncontrollable. Once again, it isn’t as effective strategicly or fiscally as a tactical warhead. If the U.S. made such a device, it would make more strategic sense to use it as a bartering chip. If we could end drought in Africa, disappate violent storms, think of the diplomatic deals that would create. The perfect General can cause his enemies to surrender without a single soldier taking to the field.

  9. Forgot. Beans I’m one of millions unemployed, I have only time to give. If I could mail myself to Haiti to escape winter and help out, I would do that.

  10. > Karl Popper gave it its derogatory meaning in The Open Society (1952)–

    Karl Marx said it best:

“Men make their own history, but they do not make it as they please; they do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under circumstances existing already, given and transmitted from the past. The tradition of all dead generations weighs like a nightmare on the brains of the living. And just as they seem to be occupied with revolutionizing themselves and things, creating something that did not exist before, precisely in such epochs of revolutionary crisis they anxiously conjure up the spirits of the past to their service, borrowing from them names, battle slogans, and costumes in order to present this new scene in world history in time-honored disguise and borrowed language.”

Apparently it’s only the plotters behind the New World Order who seem to be able to escape falling into such patterns.

  11. While I have no cause for suspecting anything hidden behind this Haitian catastrophe, it might be worth repeating that just because an idea is crackpot that doesn’t mean it’s not being tried. Jon Ronson has claimed that his research led him to the findings that Major General Albert Stubblebine III believed that it should be possible to walk through walls:

There actually does appear to have been a research paper presented on June 17, 1996, at the Air War College in Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, with the title “Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025.” Apparently weather modification has been used in past warfare. The April 1982 issue of The Journal of Weather Modification carries an article which describes the application of cloud-seeding over the Ho Chi Minh Trail. I can’t think of any cause for suspecting any special behind this event in Haiti. But if Ronson is correct that Uri Geller was working as a “psychic spy” for US intelligence then we may have to allow that just because an idea is moonbat doesn’t mean it’s not being done somewhere.

  12. great blog you have got going on here… keep up the great work.

the NWO elites fear the people it is only a matter of time before everyone wakes up and takes back control of the world…

we have been living to long in the shadows being pushed around getting told what to do and how to act and what to say..
it is time to stand up and say NO MORE!.
